Rene Russell
René Kincaid was born in Orlando, Florida and moved with her family to Tulsa, Oklahoma when she was twelve. She had an interest in music at a very young age and took every opportunity to perform with her two older sisters in school and church, even placing well in a few regional singing competitions. In 1989 she sang on a Dove Award winning PSA inspired by the fall of the Berlin Wall. In 1992 she began singing professionally and just a year later met Mike Russell, a superb and highly respected musician in his own right. They have been performing together ever since.
Over the years, Rene has delighted tens of thousands with her pitch-perfect, soulful renditions of the world's most favorite jazz, pop and rhythm and blues songs.
From Florida to Las Vegas to California and all points in between, she has performed at hundreds of the nation’s popular venues, fronting several world renowned artists including Linda Ronstadt and John Tesh.
In 2002 she became Rene Russell when she and Mike married during a performance in Las Vegas.
Rene is a perfectionist who moves you with her vocal agility and traps you with lyrics that reflect the ups and downs of our everyday lives. This perfection is well illustrated on her latest album of original songs, “Who I Am”.
But to truly appreciate her tremendous talent, it must be seen and heard live. Make a date for a memorable evening with René Russell.
